Our dedicated group of volunteers deliver a wide variety of programs and services. APAC is made up of a Board of Directors, Advisory Board and eight volunteer committees.

Krystal Abotossaway is a proud member of Aundeck Omni-Kanging First Nations. Krystal received her Honours Human Resource Management degree from York University.  In her current role at the Royal Bank of Canada Krystal manages specific Diversity programs designs to recruit and retain top talent Enterprise Wide for the financial industry. As a diversity & inclusion sourcing specialist Krystal is responsible for building pipelines for hard to fill roles and business critical roles. As an Urban Aboriginal woman, she continuously looks for ways to create social impact. Her primary focus is Aboriginal women in leadership as well as Aboriginal Youth. Krystal is an avid community advocate sitting on many boards within the GTR. Some of which include Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training and Native Women’s Resource Center

Jonathan Linklater
Jonathan LinklaterChair, Membership and Outreach
Jonathan is First Nations and originates from the Ottawa area. After completing his degree in Political Science and International Development at Dalhousie University, Jonathan worked as rotational Associate at the Royal Bank of Canada. Jonathan is currently a Project Control Officer within RBC’s Technology and Operations platform and a co-chair of the RBC Ontario Royal Eagles, an employee resource group for First Nations, Métis and Inuit employees.

Aaron Hohn
Aaron HohnChair, Events Committee
Aaron Hohn lives in the Toronto area and is a member of the Passamaquoddy First Nations in New Brunswick. Aaron works at TD Bank in a Management Associate role and has held positions in a number of areas including the Aboriginal Banking Group and HR Diversity and Inclusion (Aboriginal area of focus) and is a member of the Aboriginal Employee Circle. Aaron has been actively involved in the community as a volunteer, mentor and board member and has been an APAC member since 2012.

Jason PearceChair, Governance
Jason Pearce is President of Provatect, an information management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, governance and compliance.  Over the past 17 years, Jason has advised top corporations and government agencies on different aspects of records and information management, including privacy, records retention and information retrieval.  Jason is from the Bay of Islands in Western Newfoundland and a member of the Mi’kmaq First Nations Assembly of Newfoundland.  He has been an APAC member since 2013 and Co-chair of the Governance Committee since 2015.

The Advisory Board Members meet with the APAC Board of Directors every six months to provide input and guidance on developing organizational issues.

Sam Mukwa KloetstraManager of Operations
Sam Mukwa Kloetstra is a member of the Mattagami First Nation. A young professional, Sam has worked with the Ontario Ministry of Education in research on spaces and transitions for Indigenous students in schools. He has been an advisor to the Ontario Minister of Education and now presently sits on the Ontario Premier’s Council for Youth Opportunities. Sam also sits on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Birth Centre. He is a vocal advisor on the Toronto Indigenous Health Advisory Circle and has worked with the City of Toronto and the Toronto Local Health Integration Network on Indigenous space creation.
